Dianthus deltoides is a low herbaceous perennial with narrow leaves and small flowers, often marked by a darker ring near the centre.
Botanical characteristics
Its spreading foliage gives it a ground-covering habit distinct from tall carnations. Good drainage is essential: wet soil can lead to crown rot and loss of the centre of a clump.
Low foliage and small patterned flowers
Flashing Light, Zing Rose and Microchip Mixture provide named variety and mixture references for seed retailers. Keep the selection name with the flower description when comparing this bulk perennial-seed range.
