Ammobium alatum has conspicuously winged stems and flower heads with silvery-white bracts around yellow centres.
Flowers and foliage
The papery white structures are modified leaves, not the true petals. This distinction explains the lasting appearance associated with everlasting flowers. It is used as a seasonal ornamental, with drainage important around its roots.
White bracts and winged stems
Grandiflorum and White are separate named references within the reseller seed range.
