Saxifraga × arendsii denotes garden hybrids within the mossy saxifrages. Their close-set leafy shoots form low cushions, with slender flower stems rising above the surface in spring.

Flowers and foliage

That separation between foliage and flowers explains their rock-garden character. Establishing small divisions requires moisture without losing the drainage these plants need.

Cushion-forming garden selections

Floral Carpet, Purple Robe and Spring Snow are named seed references for resellers. Keep the selection name with the hybrid-group name when arranging the range.
