Penstemon hartwegii is a Mexican shrub or subshrub that has contributed to garden penstemon hybrids.
Botanical characteristics
Upright stems bear tubular flowers, and cultivated seed selections need not reproduce a wild-species profile exactly. For resellers, the named mixture or colour reference is therefore more useful than assuming all articles are identical to the botanical species.
Sensation mixture and scarlet reference
Sensation Mixed is offered alongside Sensation Scarlet, separating the mixture from the scarlet-labelled seed reference.
