Echinops ritro is a clump-forming perennial with blue spherical flower heads and stiff, spiny foliage. Echinops ritro has hairy foliage.
Botanical characteristics
Its taproot helps explain why established plants are difficult to divide or move. Sunny, drained conditions suit it better than rich, wet ground. The globe-like flower structure adds a distinct form to a perennial seed assortment.
Globe heads and seed presentation
Blue, Rubbed Seeds and Clean Seed distinguish the catalogue’s seed-presentation references.
