Thymus vulgaris
Common thyme is a low, evergreen subshrub with a woody base. Its small, aromatic grey-green leaves have margins that roll under. White to pinkish-purple flowers grow in whorls near the shoot tips and attract bees. It prefers full sun and freely draining, sandy or rocky soil.
