De Vaugirard White – Allium cepa

Allium cepa is the bulb onion, a member of the Amaryllidaceae. Its characteristic bulb, green leaves and rounded flower heads distinguish it from many other vegetable seed groups. The species includes different cultivated forms, so an onion seed assortment should be selected by the named variety, not by the botanical name alone. The catalogue average is 250 seeds per gram, a useful reference when comparing bulk quantities.
