Mentha longifolia is a perennial mint with opposite, toothed leaves and terminal flower spikes.
Botanical characteristics
Its small flowers have petals joined into a tube, rather than separate free petals. The terminal spikes distinguish its flower arrangement from the rounded axillary whorls of pennyroyal, Mentha pulegium.
