Melilotus is a genus in Fabaceae, not a single species or colour mixture. The offered albus and officinalis references correspond to white and yellow sweet clovers respectively. Melilotus has fragrant flowers.
Botanical characteristics
Both commonly follow a biennial cycle and bear small flowers in elongated racemes. Species identity therefore adds useful precision to the shared sweet-clover common name.
Two sweet-clover species
Melilotus albus and Melilotus officinalis are the two species references for seed retailers.
