Fine leaf – Allium schoenoprasum

Allium schoenoprasum is a bulbous perennial that forms leafy clumps and rounded purple flower heads. Its fine, tubular leaves distinguish chives from broad-leaved onion relatives. Clumps can persist and be divided, while flowering plants may self-seed. Well-drained soil helps avoid root rot.
