Chives broad leaved – Allium schoenoprasum

The following description concerns Allium schoenoprasum generally. Allium schoenoprasum is a clump-forming perennial in the Amaryllidaceae. Its narrow, hollow leaves arise from small bulbs, and rounded umbels carry pink to purple flowers. Leaf width can differ among selections, but a broad- or medium-leaved catalogue name does not by itself verify measurements or uniformity.
