Chrysanthemum segetum is a synonym of the accepted name Glebionis segetum. This annual belongs to the Asteraceae and is botanically distinct from perennial garden chrysanthemums.
Botanical names and group identity
The older name remains useful for recognising seed-trade references, but it does not make this assortment equivalent to every plant sold as a chrysanthemum.
An annual under its former genus name
The reseller list includes Eastern Star, Gloria and Helios. Preserve these selection names within the bulk annual-flower range; similarly named entries elsewhere in the catalogue are not automatically the same article.
