Seed variety
Cheesemanii (Galapagos tomato) – Solanum cheesmaniae
Solanum cheesmaniae is a Galápagos tomato species in Solanaceae. It is distinct from the other endemic tomato, S. galapagense, as well as introduced S. lycopersicum and S. pimpinellifolium. Galápagos tomato is therefore not a single name for every tomato found on the islands. The accepted species identity is the useful reference for a specialist seed assortment. The catalogue average is 500 seeds per gram, a useful reference when comparing bulk quantities.
