Cucurbita pepo is an annual species in the Cucurbitaceae with several distinct cultivated groups. Its seed range includes courgettes (zucchini), pattypans, spaghetti squash, pumpkins and ornamental gourds. For a reseller assortment, fruit type and named selection are more useful distinctions than the species name alone.
Courgette fruit types and plant habit
Black Beauty is offered with elongated fruit and smooth dark-green skin. Goldena is a yellow bush-type courgette with pale flesh. One Ball F1 adds a round yellow courgette reference.
Cucurbita pepo includes both bush and vining forms. A round fruit does not in itself identify plant habit. Use the particular variety’s description when selecting between a bush courgette and a named climbing line.
Pattypans, pumpkins and spaghetti squash
Pattypan selections form a separate summer-squash group. Pumpkin and winter-squash types are generally described by mature fruit, while courgettes are associated with young tender fruit.
Vegetable Spaghetti is a distinct oblong yellow squash whose cooked flesh separates into strands. This fruit type has a different place in a seed range from a named courgette colour or a patisson mixture.
Ornamental-gourd selections
Ornamental selections are chosen for fruit form, surface and colour. Autumn Wings is a decorative gourd reference with winged fruit forms. Named striped, warted and turban-shaped entries sit alongside mixtures in the assortment.
Seed identity and wholesale quantities
The species has separate male and female yellow flowers on the same plant.
For seed enquiries, retain the full cultivar name, F1 or ORGANIC designation where shown, and SKU. Compare weight-priced entries and references priced per stated seed count on the same basis. Quantities, packing and final prices are confirmed in the quotation.
