Pepita-Silver Edge – Cucurbita mixta

Cucurbita mixta is a familiar name in the Cucurbita argyrosperma squash context. The plant is a warm-season annual vine: trailing stems can also climb with tendrils when support is available. Its yellow flowers and later fruits belong to the same seasonal cycle. The named seed selection remains important because the species includes varied garden forms.
