Microsurprise – Toona sinensis

Toona sinensis is a deciduous tree in Meliaceae. Its large compound leaves consist of numerous leaflets; woody capsules follow hanging clusters of small flowers. The tree can spread by suckers. A young seedling’s small size should therefore not be confused with a naturally dwarf adult habit.
