Clary – Salvia sclarea

Salvia sclarea is a biennial or short-lived perennial with large textured leaves and loose, branched flower spikes. Its conspicuous bracts accompany the smaller flowers, contributing to the display. Drainage is especially important in winter; very rich soil can produce tall leafy plants with fewer flowers.
