Mimosa pudica – Mimosa pudica

Mimosa pudica is a tropical member of Fabaceae with many small, paired leaflets. Touch or other stimulation causes the leaves to close and droop rapidly, explaining the sensitive-plant name. Its rounded flower heads contain many individual flowers. The delicate-looking foliage and responsive movement distinguish it within an ornamental seed assortment.
