Mallow – Malva sylvestris

Malva sylvestris has rounded to lobed leaves and pink to purple flowers with darker veins. The notched petals and axillary flower clusters help identify the mallow form. Flora of North America includes Malva mauritiana in its synonym treatment. Life span can vary, so the species should not be given one universal annual or perennial cycle.
