Lavandula angustifolia – True Lavender

The following description concerns Lavandula angustifolia generally. Lavandula angustifolia is an aromatic evergreen shrub with narrow leaves and terminal flower spikes. Its woody framework persists beyond one season, unlike annual herbs. Sun and freely draining soil are important: prolonged moisture around the roots is a common cause of loss. Named seed strains remain distinct from plants propagated as identical clones.
