Spring Beauty semi-dbl mixed – Dianthus plumarius

Dianthus plumarius forms low evergreen mats with narrow foliage and fragrant flowers whose petal margins are fringed. Its persistent cushion differs from taller florist carnations. Sun and well-drained soil suit it; wet soil encourages crown and fungal rots. Removing spent flowers can extend the display.
