Mayfield Giants – Coreopsis lanceolata

Coreopsis lanceolata is a perennial with narrow, lance-shaped leaves and yellow ray florets notched at their tips. It can self-seed readily; removing faded heads reduces that spread and can encourage more flowers. Very rich soil may lead to sprawling growth. Garden strains may also involve hybrids with other Coreopsis species.
