Pinkie – Catharanthus roseus

Catharanthus roseus, formerly called Vinca rosea, is a tender perennial often treated as an annual. Its glossy, opposite leaves frame flowers with a narrow tube and five spreading lobes. A contrasting central eye can be as distinctive as the petal colour. Warm conditions and good drainage suit this ornamental species.
