Bidens aurea - – Bidens aurea

Bidens aurea has yellow ray florets surrounding a yellowish disc. Its leaves vary from narrow blades to divided forms, so the species is not defined by one uniformly fine leaf shape. Flora of North America records it in marshes and stream margins. That habitat differs from a blanket assumption that every daisy-like flower prefers dry ground.
