Scott Eliott – Aquilegia caerulea

Mrs Scott-Elliott is a named mixed strain of garden columbine. The catalogue name refers to a colour mixture, so a wholesale description should present it as a mixed seed article rather than promise one fixed flower colour. The plants share the characteristic nodding, spurred flowers of garden Aquilegia. For reseller catalogues, keeping the selection name beside Aquilegia caerulea distinguishes this article from single-colour columbine lines and from unnamed species seed.
