Iceland poppies in this catalogue are traded under Papaver nudicaule. Flora of North America’s botanical treatment describes divided leaves and flowers on erect, hairy stalks.

Botanical characteristics

Garden strains offer a broader colour range than an individual wild subspecies. The botanical comparison explains the plant’s form without prescribing one height or colour for every seed mixture.

Garden strains under the Iceland-poppy heading

For resellers, F2 Wind Song mixed, Matador and Victoria mixed are separate listed choices. Preserve the named strain and generation designation when comparing bulk seed.
