Blue Angel is documented with gentian-blue flowers, while Blue Bird is taller with indigo flowers. This distinction concerns the named selections, rather than a uniform height for the entire species.Blue Angel is a compact Anchusa selection with vivid indigo-blue flowers; botanically perennial, it is often grown as an annual.
