Earthwalker – Helianthus annuus

Helianthus annuus is an annual sunflower in the Asteraceae, with rough-haired stems and broad, toothed leaves. Each flower head combines a central disc with surrounding ray florets. Cultivar differences in those florets, flower form and plant habit are useful when selecting ornamental sunflower seed for resale. The catalogue average is 10-50 seeds per gram, a useful reference when comparing bulk quantities.
