Seed variety
Red with black center – Calendula officinalis
Calendula officinalis is an annual in the Asteraceae, distinct from the Tagetes species also called marigolds. Yellow and orange flower heads occur in single and double forms, above oblong to lance-shaped leaves. Moderately fertile, well-drained soil suits the species; removing faded heads can encourage further flowering.
