Calendula officinalis – Greenheart Orange

The following description concerns Calendula officinalis generally. Calendula officinalis is an annual with green, oblong to lance-shaped leaves and yellow or orange flower heads. Both single and double-flowered forms occur within the species. It grows in moderately fertile, well-drained soil in sun; some shade can be useful in hot weather. Removing spent flower heads may prolong flowering, and plants can self-seed.
