Borago officinalis – Borago officinalis

Borago officinalis is an annual with star-shaped flowers and wrinkled leaves covered in stiff hairs. Blue is the familiar flower colour of the species. It can self-seed, explaining why an annual may reappear in the same place in later years. The rough foliage texture is as characteristic as the flowers.
