Red Plume – Atriplex hortensis

Atriplex hortensis is an upright annual with triangular leaves, used as a leafy vegetable when young and tender. Common names referring to spinach describe a similar use, not membership of the genus Spinacia. The catalogue combines leaf-colour catalogue entries and plume-labelled selections, so the complete entry name matters.
